STYLE FILE | AnneMarie

This is my lifelong family friend and practically my other sister Anne. She just started a fashion blog and I'm super excited about that. I love her unique style and taste and she does awesome reviews on beauty products. She is my source for makeup help and how to's. And she knows how to work maternity style! Please share the love and check out her spot here

NAME: AnneMarie
BLOG:  iLOVE
BLOGGING SINCE: July 2012

How would you describe your style? I honestly don't know how to answer this question. I feel I'm not into fashion enough to fit into any specific category. I like a bit of rock and roll, vintage, bohemian, chic, edge, etc. but whether or not this translates into the way I dress may be debatable. If I were to attempt to describe my style, I guess I would say it's a mixture of a toned down version of each style mentioned above. If that makes sense...which it probably doesn't.
Who or what inspires your style? Real people. Street style found in all of the cities I've lived in and my favourite fashion bloggers is where I find most of my inspiration.
What are your 3 closet essentials? An oversized/boxy top, a pair of slim-fit jeans, and a cool pair of ankle boots are my closet essentials. I love this combination especially with the top loosely tucked in the front. You just can't go wrong.

Favorite food/dessert? I go through phases with food where I love something to death, insist on eating it every day, get sick of it, then move onto something else. At the moment, I'm really loving pasta.
How do you piece together your outfits? Style doesn't come naturally to me. I can easily pick out an individual article of clothing that I love out of a pile of stuff, but putting it together in a look takes a bit more effort for me. I usually have to try on every possible option before feeling confident enough to wear it out. It normally takes me quite a bit of time to get ready because of this.
Tell us 3 random facts about yourself...
1. I'm full Filipino but I sadly don't speak or understand Tagalog.
2. I have finger toes but I'm ok with it.
3. I have a somewhat debilitating fear of the dark.
Favorite beauty products? Oooohh, tough question. I love my makeup. I can seriously get into any product that can enhance one's natural beauty and confidence. But if I had to choose a few, my favourite looks couldn't go without a dark brown khol pencil for tightlining the upper and lower waterline, a matte bronzer for adding depth and drama, and blush for brightening the complexion.

If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be? Have confidence. I feel that this attribute alone can determine whether or not anyone can pull anything off from a bright lip to a fashion forward piece of clothing. I can admire any kind of personal style as long as it is carried with confidence.
What's your favorite fall trend? I'm really liking the colour burgundy for the fall. On the lips, on the nails, or on a piece of clothing. The colour is both chic and edgy and seems so fitting for the season.
Currently on my playlist... I don't have a playlist but I do have a few favourite cd's that I like to take with me when I go out. I'm currently listening to: Kings of Leon "Aha Shake Heartbreak", Beirut "The Rip Tide", and Kanye West "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Clean Version)".

GUESS WHAT?? I'm featured on Clothed Much today! Elaine has been an inspiration to me and was the one that actually inspired me to start a personal style blog. I thought it was brilliant a idea to represent modesty and share ideas of how to do it with style. Dressing modestly is something I value. Plus it was a great excuse for me to start a fashion blog. hehe. Thanks so much Elaine for having me over and making my dreams come true. Stop by here and say what's up!

I wore this at a baptism and baby shower. I found this skirt at Value Village on one of their 50% off days...my favorite. I always receive inspiration from magazines, people, other bloggers. And I saw this girl in a magazine wearing a grey shirt with a printed skirt and said hey I have that and thought it was brilliant combo. So that was the inspiration of this outfit. the end.

chambray look no. 3

Another way to wear your chambray is to button it up all the way. It's a preppier look and it's a simple change. You can add a statement necklace and this style looks good layered under a sweater or shirt. Like this.

shoes: springs
necklace: thrifted
watch & frames: forever 21
pants: mom's closet

STYLE FILE | Megan Phillips

Hey, meet Megan! She's another mormon fashion blogger that I came across. She's so cute and she got class. Check out her sweet blogster here!

NAME:Megan Phillips
AGE: 20
HOMETOWN: Draper, UT
BLOG: Classy Confessions
BLOGGING SINCE:  January 2010

How did you get interested in starting a fashion blog? I have always loved fashion. Throughout the past year I started to discover fashion blogs and I was hooked. Then I thought, hey I could do this! My friends and family encouraged me to start one so I did, and I love it!
How would you describe your style? Classy and Preppy with a hint of trendy flair.

What are some of your favourite fashion blogs? The Daybook and Kendi Everday
Since you’re a modest fashion blogger, what does modesty mean to you? Modesty has always been so important to me. Fashion is a way to express myself to others. I want people to respect me and know how much I respect myself. My body is a gift and I always try to take care of it, especially in the way I cover it.

What are your favorite hobbies? Dancing, reading, and eating...Yes eating can be a hobby.

What are your 3 closet essentials? Riding boots, a blazer, and a button up blouse...the essentials for a classy combo.
If you could give one piece of style advice, what would it be?  Be yourself! Don't be afraid of what others might say or think. If you love it, rock it!
What is your motto? Be Classy.
Tell us 3 random things about yourself… I'm a horrible singer, I have an over-indulgent cupcake obsession, and Gone With the Wind is my absolute favorite book.

Thanks so much for coming over Megan!

skate

Surprisingly, being from Canada I've only skated a few times. It's actually pretty fun! Since we've had a pretty mild winter the ice is too thin to skate along the river. But they do have an outdoor skating rink at the Forks with a disco ball and some sweet jams playing. The only recommendation I have is to make sure you have good skates because my rented ones were cramping my feet. I went with a my sister, cousin, and a couple of friends. Afterwards we enjoyed some tim tam slams (an Australian tradition)... if ya'll haven't tried it, you gotsta! and if you're a chocolate lover like myself, it's a definite must! It's so good.

By the by...I'm guest posting at Love Notes by Lauryn today and giving a lil blog intro. Check it out here!
