first vlog

Hey ya'll! So I decided to share a thrift haul, vlog style. I was a little apprehensive to do a video because I'm a shy person {especially at first} and starting a blog was a big deal, but now you can see and hear me talk. eeks. I was a little nervous and shy filming this, so please bear with me {I guess I tend to say "um" a lot when I'm nervous}. heh heh. Hopefully I get better at this. Anyways, please let me know if you'd like to see more videos like this or have any other requests. enjoy :)

DIY: cat eyes with scotch tape!

my first try

I love the cat eye look. It's a classic and looks so simple and pretty. Here is a tutorial I saw on one of my favorite blogs, cup of jo. It is the easiest cat eye trick that I've ever tried! It may take a few tries to get the angle that you like but it's so simple and it worked beautifully my first try. Give it a whirl and let me know how it goes.

enjoy :)

one lipstick...four ways to wear it

Lipstick is a craze these days and becoming more common to wear day to day {which I think is so fun and a great way to take your look up a notch}. Lisa Elridge is one of those make gurus on youtube that I follow. I love her tutorials and she is definitely a pro make up artist. Here is one of her tutorials on how to wear the same lipstick four different ways. My favorite is the lip and cheek stain. Now I use my lipstick a lot more than before because I'm not always daring to wear the full on lipstick.

enjoy :)

galaxy nails

photos: emeraldsparkled, llymlrs

Here is another awesome {referred} tutorial I found and I would like to share. I have just recently been getting into painting my nails and have found that it is a fun way to be creative and change things up.

This tutorial is on the galaxy nail art. I don't know if you have followed the galaxy trend...but it has been quite the hype these days. I don't think I'm bold enough to wear galaxy clothes...but I like the idea as a nail design. Are you a fan of galaxy prints? So anyways, here is the tutorial by Andrea from the youtube channel, Andrea's Choice. She has nice tutorials and a fun personality. Galaxy nails are actually super easy to do at home! Go ahead 'n give it a try!

so many knots...so little time

Hi ya'll!

I'm not the best at making my own DIYs, so for now I will be sharing awesome DIY/tutorials that I like. I love scarves and I definitely have a collection of my own (my sisters would testify to that...lol). Wearing a scarf is a simple and easy way to make a plain outfit stylish. They are one of those accessories that can be worn during any season of the year.

Here's a sweet DIY tutorial I came across. Who knew there were so many ways to wear a scarf!? I was so amazed when I saw this. Enjoy :)

How do YOU wear your scarf?
