girl crush

I love Jessica Alba's easy style of scarves, dresses, shades, shrugs, and boots. She so pretty.

I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas, I know I sure did! I ate tons and spent good time with the fams. We went to church, ate food, sang carols, exchanged gifts, ate more food, and played games. I loved it.

Guess what?! I guess you can tell by my title...I got myself some new booties! I had my eye on them for a while but the price was too much for my liking. And just my luck they were half off on Boxing Day {the holiday after Christmas similar to Black Friday}. Yay! Sales are my favorite! And these were actually on my holiday wishlist

By the way this denim dress is XXL. I wore it once to church and I think other people might have thought it looked weird. But it's all good...I try to work my crazy style and not care what others think :) Anyways I was inspired by the fashion icon Alexa Chung.

I can’t believe it’s already that time of the year! I’m so happy and excited. I love the Christmas spirit, the time to especially cherish Christ and His life, the time to think of others, and the time to be with family. I’ve been listening to Christmas music like crazy and eating tons of chocolate and other goodies :)

This is my festive inspired outfit. I’ve been wanting to use this fur hat that my sister, Sarah, gave me for my birthday last year. She found it thrifting and I love it! I’ll be sure to stay warm with that one on my head. and I think it's cute paired with a dress.

And as you can probably tell, my sister, Sophia is back for the holidays!!! Wahoo!  I’m so happy to have her here and to be able to spend Christmas and New Years together. Now our family is complete. She is studying photography in Calgary, Alberta and we are planning to do a whole lotta shoots. I’m so excited!

I hope you all have an enjoyable holiday and get to spend time with your loved ones. Happy Christmas!

much love,

hey, it's your birthday

Happy birthday Sarah and Joy!
hope you enjoy your day :) love you!

DIY: cat eyes with scotch tape!

my first try

I love the cat eye look. It's a classic and looks so simple and pretty. Here is a tutorial I saw on one of my favorite blogs, cup of jo. It is the easiest cat eye trick that I've ever tried! It may take a few tries to get the angle that you like but it's so simple and it worked beautifully my first try. Give it a whirl and let me know how it goes.

enjoy :)

Christmas party and a Winner!

Me and my good friend Tamra at our ward Christmas party.
It was SO fun. Delicious food, good people, entertaining variety show, beautiful decor, and an epic dance.

Here is a video of our dance practice for the variety show.

Yard sale dress & boots / Thrifted chain / Joe Fresh nylons

This is what I wore to church on Sunday. I got this outfit from a yard sale in Cardston, Alberta. It was from a cute family with a Japanese mother and an American father. I think it was the end of the yard sale because they had the best deal ever. Check this....everything you can fit in a bag for one dollar ! So I ended up getting this dress, these boots, a kimono jacket, purple moccasin boots, and a stack of Japanese fashion magazines for a total of $1. Now that's what I call a bargain.

What was the greatest deal you've ever had?
